Check it: You Down with TSK?

Every Newporter loves a splurge here and there. Whether it’s that one long awaited date night or that last shot that you probably don’t need at 12:49 pm, you gotta admit it’s usually worth the extra cash. The restaurants of Newport usually run on the higher budgets, but lately there’s been a recent development for local restaurants using so-called “field to fork” food to really match quality with price.

That’s why we are stoked about the philosophy—and amazing food—of Thames Street Kitchen, one of the new kids on the block in Newport’s restaurant scene. About a year ago, chef-owners Chad Hoffer and Tyler Burnley moved to their wives’ hometown of Newport and set up shop on Lower Thames Street, and we are thrilled that they did.

The aim for TSK was to use local and fresh ingredients to provide Newport with a truly kickass small-plate menu that changes every week. And they have kept their promise.

It’s BYOB, so sip your favorite beer or wine while enjoying the delicious feast before you. Out of the way from the debauchery of Upper Thames—you can hit that later—but close enough to O’Brien’s and Sambar! Trust us, you’ll be happy to spend the extra dough. Taste for yourself Tuesday through Sunday for dinner and Saturday and Sunday for brunch.
